Position Overview

The Selection Committee Member plays a pivotal role in ensuring that only the most qualified and dedicated candidates are accepted into the SARTREX program. This position requires a keen eye for assessing applicants’ suitability based on experience, physical readiness, commitment to SAR operations, and alignment with SARTREX’s mission. Committee members will evaluate applications, conduct interviews, and collaborate with program leadership to assemble a team of participants who will thrive in the demanding training environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess candidate applications, ensuring alignment with SARTREX entry criteria.

• Conduct interviews with potential participants to evaluate their skills, experience, and motivation.

• Collaborate with other committee members to fairly and objectively select the best-qualified applicants.

• Identify candidates who demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and teamwork.

• Ensure a diverse and well-rounded participant group by balancing backgrounds, experience levels, and operational strengths.

• Communicate acceptance decisions and provide feedback to applicants as needed.

• Uphold the integrity and reputation of the SARTREX program through rigorous selection standards.

Requirements

• Experience in SAR operations, emergency management, or training program coordination.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

• Strong verbal skills

• Ability to assess applicants based on technical skills, leadership potential, and adaptability.

• Experience in conducting interviews and evaluating candidate suitability.

• Commitment to upholding SARTREX’s high standards and mission-driven approach.

• Have an indepth uunderstanding of the SARTREX programs, mission and goals.

• Well versed in Google workspace collaberation environment

• Familiarity or willing to learn the Wixstudio Platform.

• Willing to complete the internal learning program for the Selection Committee.

• Familiarity with the GDPR/Privacy Laws

• Work with Conficidiality & intergerity. 

• No criminal background.
